*this story is inspired by the maze runner trilogy, some events may contain spoilers* a new generation of boys and girls are put together in the new, enormous 'lonesome world' as the young children would call it. nobody was sure of how or when they would get out. if they would get out.

The story starts in the Scorch. The setting and time is a little after the immunes have reached Paradise, so I guess you could say it takes place right after "The Death Cure" ends. It's been several months since the initial Gladers and the immunes have been living in Paradise. Thomas still assumes that he'd killed Newt... but he thought wrong. Apparently, Thomas had managed to shoot the exact part of the brain where the Flare was taking place in Newt, and without knowing it, has saved him. Kind of. Introducing Eliza, an immune Newt met while living with the Cranks, the two struggle to live, facing new problems with what seems like every day. They need each other to survive, it's as simple as that. Then someone unexpected arrives to take Newt and Eliza to the Paradise, except it's easier said than done. Has Thomas really saved Newt? Or has he done something even worse than killing him? Not to mention, it's not really the time for Eliza to let her feelings get in the way. It's a typical day in the life of a Glader in 'Escape'. Most characters and idea belongs to James Dasher.

She wakes up in a metal box, cold and alone. Gone are her memories of her past, her friends, her family; all she knows is her name. Riley. She clings to it like a lifeline, the last part of her that remains. Thrown into a mysterious, huge maze filled with equally as confused and angry teenaged boys, walls that move at night and the monsters that roam behind them, it's a case of survive or die. Meanwhile, Riley finds herself growing closer to the kindhearted, intelligent Newt. When Thomas arrives in the maze, could he be the missing link to her forgotten past? Can she escape WICKED, or will she die trying?

After the Second Trial, before the Last City. Three different people, goals, and journeys. Travis in the Last City, coping with finding a cure, but also the emptiness of being alone. Madison at the Docks, planning to rescue Mark, and finally find peace. And Jason, suffering with survivors guilt, but also the new, hidden fear that haunts him. This is the new and improved version of my old book by the same name. I will be keeping some of the similar elements that made the old one stand out a bit such as the frequent point of view changes. Here are some examples of changes that will be included: -This will now be an x reader fanfic. -The main character will now be referred to with gender neutral pronouns. (They/them) -Clothing descriptions will no longer be included as to skip boring filler text. -Any identifying features will no longer be included for a more inclusive story. If there are parts in the story that require it I will use text such as (H/C) or (E/C). It is currently under construction at the moment. Feel free to read the old one as you wait. <3

I will be re-writing specific chapters of The Maze Runner series. Beware, some events may be disliked. This book could be considered as a parody. Give it a chance for laughs, hope and a repaired heart. Is in no particular order whatsoever, just whenever I feel like a chapter needs a change. If you want a chapter re-written or you have an idea, I am open to suggestions :)

Everyone else seems to just go with it, until Group A arrives. This fanfiction will follow the entire movie! storyline of The Maze Runner series, + a tiny bit of Group B
