After leaving an unsafe home life, MJ discovers a hidden oasis in the middle of the woods. She meets Joe Toy, who teaches her that it's okay to trust even after being hurt. This is a fanfic/romance for "The Kings of Summer" (starring Nick Robinson), but it will be easy to follow along even if you've never seen the movie. I'm really writing this for myself to be honest, but I do hope you enjoy!

this book is about a group of teenagers that escape their strict parents. they find a safe and hidden area which they decide is the ground of their new home. they all come together to build a house on their own while going through classic teenage drama. follow their journey through the perspective of a girl in the friendship group (the main character of this story) just to warn you i have a very short attention span and i cant spell for shit so I'm sorry in advance :) this book is inspired by the movie the kings of summer, but has its own plot and all the characters are different (if i ever use a reference from the movie then just know all the rights go to the writers and director of the movie) trigger warnings will be at the beginning of the chapter if there is one and there will probably be a bit of swearing here and there so if your not comfortable with that then this book might not be for you :) also i thought i should say the cover of this book is not mine so all the credit goes to the owner of the picture

Emily is forced to move towns so that her sister Hannah can complete her senior year. Emily usually spends days alone with her dog piper wandering around near the woods of her place. Then one day Piper runs off into the woods finds a tree house. The tree house is in quite bad condition and Emily decides to make it her job to fix it. i wish i could write a more engaging prologue but i cant
