This is a story of a King who, even within a dying body, continued to rule and strike down his enemies. A man who did not fear death, but lived in terror of making a mistake and losing it all.

For readers of romantic fantasy novels about medieval knights and true love. Baldwin IV of Jerusalem (French: Baudouin) was one of the most peculiar young kings of his era, noted for his incredible courage and fortitude. Despite a serious illness - leprosy - that struck him as a child, he led successful military campaigns, was beloved by his crusader knights, and respected by his adversaries. Unfortunately, due to his dangerous illness, the king left no offspring. Almost nothing is known about his relationships with women. What might have been the fate of this courageous and wise ruler if he had received effective treatment in time and had met a worthy companion to share his earthly happiness. The fan fiction genre allows us to construct an alternative scenario with a happy ending and enjoy a satisfying story.

Suzanne studies in Harvard as a biology and medicine student, she studies attitudes toward leprosy and the consequences and over diseases and searches a cure for cancer. Searching for a better world Suzanne falls in depression and boredom, she draws, write, study and watches film and grows a liking and passion towards "Kingdom of heaven" couple days after an old necklace her grand mother gave her before dying vibrates and makes weird lights, and suddenly Suzanne wakes up 1000 years in the past and meets The leper King, knowing everything about his time and disease she decides to hide her game and cure the king and love story grows between the two lovers. What if you wake up one morning and you find yourself in the court of King Balduin IV, the Leper King? Note: The story is based more on the film Kingdom of Heaven (2005) than the real history, however it does not follow the filmscript completely and in some cases I used the historical facts, found in Bernard Hamilton's book about King Balduin IV (The Leper King and his heirs, 2005). Furthermore, some events and scenes were created by my fantasy only. I hope you will enjoy my story!

A collection of Y/N-centered oneshots based on Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven (2005). Unlike my other work in this same genre, any historical figures present in these fics are 90% the way they appear in this film, instead of an even mix of historical and fiction.
