A sequel story to the poem "The Listeners"

I don't own the plot or the title of the poem "The Listeners" by Walter de la Mare. I just wanted to imagine what the past would have been for the traveller and the phantoms in the house. So I just wrote an imaginary story on their lives. Thank you :)

Grian was a Watcher, having been trained by them to survive the harsh worlds. Trained from the void, he was finally given an assignment, Hermitcraft 6. He concealed his identity, as to not draw suspicion to himself. Gradually he forgot about his Watcher self, until a note arrived... Amazing description by @CharoletteBuurn
