Everyone knows that at some point in the story, Richie carves his and Eddie's initials into the kissing bridge, accepting his love for him. Few know that those same initials were carved on the opposite side of the bridge. Almost no one wrote on that part of the bridge, so very few people knew what was written there. That was exactly what Eddie wanted. A story where Eddie struggles to accept his feelings for Richie.
