The story takes place in the ancient Kingdom of Ulric. The tale follows Princess Mary who lives a quiet life. Her life changes when a prophecy comes to pass involving her kingdom's dreaded foe.

Her sightless eyes stared just past Alpha's shoulder. "Something's coming." Hex blinked, then curled her lip. "Cut the cryptic dung. What's coming?" Lunar changed her line of 'sight' to her paws. "My spirit guides wouldn't give me an exact answer. All I know is this;" Her gaze changed once again. Straight into Alpha's eyes, almost as though she could see into his soul. "A storm is coming. But it will not come in the form of weather. She will appear in the form of a hybrid, more powerful than anyone anticipates. She will bring death, but she will also bring salvation."

It's a short story about life and it's cycle. Every living things depends on someone else for food and nutrition to survive. Whether it is humans or someone else. Do you think we will ever be able to escape this cycle? Do we really need to escape this cycle? Or can we just accept the way it is?

This is my first attempt at an organized chapbook. It's filled with poetry written during some of the most existential turmoil I have experienced in my life thus far. Many of the poems explore thoughts of depression, loneliness, loss, and the heavy burden of continuing forward with the weight of it all. I hope that these words and emotions can land, and possibly help someone know that there are others out there, sharing the roadmap of life with them.
