Catriona"Honeybee" Rawlins has spent her whole life knowing she is blessed. How lucky to be born into God's chosen community. How lucky to know that she will live on. Catriona wants nothing more than to please the Prophet. It was him, after all, that first warned the believers about the approaching end times. It was him, after all, that made a home in the desert for them, where they could be safe from tribulation, death, and the non-believers. It was the Prophet who was sent dreams from God, and it was the Prophet who would save them all when Earth became Hell. And it is Catriona, the purest, most faithful believer, who would do anything for her Prophet. That is, until she learns the truth.

In a quiet rural community, a little girl watches a company arrive with promises, machines, and smoke. Told through the innocent eyes of Tea Pot, The Arrival of Smoke follows one family as land is taken, water is stolen, and survival is dressed up as opportunity. It's a story about work, silence, fathers who believe, mothers who resist, and what a child understands long before adults admit the truth. Some things come slowly. Others arrive like smoke-and never really leave. A postcolonial coming-of-age novel rooted in Caribbean social realism.

"A storm is coming..." Alpha muttered quietly. "Best get Rain and the elders into their dens before things get worse." "How long 'till she's due?" Hex said quietly before scratching her ear with her hind paw. "Aye," he said, taking a moment to think. "I think another lap of the Moon Wolf er' so." "Alpha?" The quiet and blind Healer wolf said, leaping onto the rock above Greyriver, or Alpha's den. "Aye, Lunar? Everything alright?" "I've seen something." Her sightless eyes stared just past Alpha's shoulder. "Something's coming." Hex blinked, then curled her lip. "Cut the cryptic dung. What's coming?" Lunar changed her line of 'sight' to her paws. "My spirit guides wouldn't give me an exact answer. All I know is this;" Her gaze changed once again. Straight into Alpha's eyes, almost as though she could see into his soul. "A storm is coming. But it will not come in the form of weather. She will appear in the form of a hybrid, more powerful than anyone anticipates. She will bring death, but she will also bring salvation."

The Last Broadcast Science Fiction ‱ Psychological Horror ‱ Mystery > "We are still here. But we are not alive." When Commander Yara Lin is assigned to bring the long-defunct Relay Station Vesta-7 back online, it's supposed to be a routine solo mission. Isolated in the silence of deep space, the station is a crumbling relic of the early expansion era-its lights flickering, corridors cold, and systems barely responsive. But then she hears it: a voice on an unlisted channel, repeating her name. The voice is familiar. It's her brother Elias, who vanished aboard the starship Calypso over seven years ago-and whose ship was last logged near this very station. As Yara delves deeper, strange anomalies begin to emerge: decaying personal items that shouldn't exist, security footage showing her walking halls she never entered, and a station AI that calls her "Commander Lin" like it's known her forever. The deeper she searches, the more the station bends around her-replaying fragments of a past she doesn't remember living. Then comes the impossible truth. She is not the visitor. She is the loop. And the voice on the radio? It may be calling from outside the simulation-or deeper inside it. The Last Broadcast is a slow-burning descent into claustrophobic horror and existential dread, blending memory, identity, and the unreliability of time. In a place where nothing is quite what it seems, Yara must decide what's worse: the truth outside the loop... or eternity inside it.
