(Written for Rook who lives in my inbox and inspired by the knight Avery post by sacchariferouspoet on Tumblr) Inherent kindness did not exist. Not as far as Derek was concerned. As the crown prince of the Empire of Quelen, people were never kind to him unless they wanted something. People were either sycophantic damn near to the point of insulting, or as rude as possible while leaving room for plausible deniability. They hated or loved him for the crown, he was not a living being as far as they were concerned. That is what he believed until Avery waltzed right into his life and sat down and refused to leave, not that he wanted him to leave. Why would he want the only one to make the world seem bearable leave?

Avery just lost the only person who stayed despite knowing everything. But. He doesn't have time to ponder as his neighbour was pissing him off. Maybe not that much...

On the crossroads, someday the souls will rejoice once more in solidarity. That day will never becoming. It's there to make pitiful mocking of the two. One yearns for the gratitude & dedication that persisted onwards, another sits in solitude with endless infinite wisdom. A vicious ending occurs, there's nothing to be done. How the story must be unfolded. Unfolded but unpredicted. Something flawed in its realm, something to desire and give solace into. It's wrong, all the wrongs in one place that should have not existed. IT'S HERE.

So basically its basicaky um aftermath i guess but idk what i ws doing when i made this so expect mistakess and expect things that might be confusing
