It's getting worse. Not now. Why now? It's been dormant for weeks! Naomi thought, squeezing her hand repeatedly into a fist to try to suppress the faint tingling in the tips of her fingers. It was in vain, just as she knew it would be. Once the tingling started it wouldn't stop until the Shift was complete. Please stop, she thought helplessly. Not now, not today! She rounded the last corner and saw her house at the end of the street. The driveway was empty, which meant Naomi's father was still at work, as she knew he would be. The lawn was in desperate need of trimming, and Naomi nearly tripped over one of the garden gnomes decorating the yard that the long grass obscured from her view. The bronze numbers on the front blue door were fading and needed a polish, but Naomi paid them no mind. She dug her key out of her pocket, inserted it into the knob, and slammed the door safely shut behind her, panting like a dog. She barely had time to celebrate that she had made it home in time before the last bits of her feet were swallowed in the tingling feeling and the Shift began. ~~~ Cover by the incredibly talented @mahana258!!!

The Tournament of Heroes is underway and under more scrutiny than ever before as tensions rise between the 9 Realms. With a new Realms' War, possibly worse than any other in history as the potential of Half Bloods and Humans fighting each other becomes more and more likely with each passing day, Sera and her friends grow equally desperate to stop the killing before it can begin. Sera hatches a plan to go beyond the Underworld into the vast knowledge center of the Tasglainn, gaining dangerous knowledge by holding a Communion with the Dead. Racing against her enemies and her own impending demise to save billions of innocent lives as sinister plans escalate at a breakneck pace to gain dominance over the other. Will Sera and her classmates, along with the Lif and Lifthrasirs, succeed in maintaining peace or will the mortals of lower Midgard get their way and spread warfare throughout the Realm? Which race of Jotuns wants the Blazing Spear of Blood and who do they plan on attacking with it first? Or is there more going on beneath the surface than there seems?

Geaes plan for destroying the Half Bloods through sheer force is coming to pass as monsters overwhelm the lower Realms and flood into Midgard from Tartarus - the monstrous new Immortal being that Geae, Hela, and the Lifthrasirs Gudbrand and Emerich created from the Breath of Life. Sera, realizing the power that she truly possesses against monsters, isn't terrified of fighting them anymore and actually enjoys it a little knowing that she is making a difference, even though it's more challenging for her to beat her enemies than it is for her two best friends Hemming and Aisling. Although she doesn't envy the power of the Lifs considering that they have to fight Gods and Jotuns. Yet it seems the Fates are not letting her go so easily as she had hoped. Instead of focusing on which three powers she wants to keep after the Trail of the Gateways, which she is sure to fail without having access to much less mastery over the basics of the Lifs 9 roots of power, she's now stuck with the dilemma of how to handle her visions which have manifested into a prophecy that she has hidden in her nightstand! The Agents of Chaos are intent on making sure Ragnarok happens and are cutting down everyone in their way. Could this new vision be another part of that destruction or is it something else? Sera isn't sure where her intuition ends and wishful thinking begins, but one thing is certain: A prophecy that takes residence within a Tellus Sphere is important; important enough to have it's own place in the Lyceum where none other than the Fates themselves study them alongside Gods and other beings who have proven themselves to be wise and brilliant. With her own mother working there, the energy of the Tellus Sphere is sure to be traced back to Sera. Will She risk having her whole life upheaved again by the insanity that surrounds prophecy after just having escaped the fate of the Lifs?

Long ago, the Kingdom of Alagil was cursed by a Dragon for their greed and lust for power, the Royal Family having seized the entirety of Gold Thread she made for the public, keeping it for themselves. The Dragon gave the Royals sixteen years to better themselves and teach their heir to the thone to be an honest, caring individual. If the Princess was coronated with a selfish heart everyone in the castle who had done wrong to the people would die. The top three Witches of the court decided on a plan to save the Princess and everyone else included in the curse, taking the spindle it is bound to and altering the curse so that, if it struck, they would all fall into an eternal slumber. Fifteen years later, Briar Rose is shocked to learn that the biggest threat to her daily life isn't Dragons swooping down from the sky to eat her or dying from boredom out in the middle of the woods. It's a curse that can lead to her whole countries decimation. Having been born with the Gift for Magic, she was trained to be a Curse Breaker by proclamation of High King Henric himself and now knows that her Godmothers have been preparing her to fight the Curse the Dragon bestowed at that ill-fasted Ball all those years ago. With one year to get the most practical experience possible in Curse Breaking, Briar Rose heads out with the map her Godmothers gave her, tracking down places of extreme curses while they head back to Skyfort, the castle where the cursed spindle resides, to protect it from those who would inadvertently worsen the curse they struggled to amend. Will she succeed at breaking the Curse and make her life her own or is the magic of Dragons to much for a Mortal to hope to overcome?

Power has a price. No Half Bloods know this better than the Lifs and Lifthrasirs, possessing the power of Yggdrasil itself, able to manipulate the dimensions of Life and Death throughout all 9 Realms. The price? These Heroes outlive all Mortals, their only choice for happiness is to curse their beloved with a "Blessed Apple" derived from the famed immortal apples Iduna guards, trapping their loved ones in a land where they are never able to leave while the Heroes barely age over the millennia they spend adventuring among the 9 Realms. As if that isn't cruel enough, Odin revealed a terrible Prophecy - Ragnarok, the final battle of all Mortal, Ethereal and Incorporeal beings where the Cycle of Immortality itself will end, killing beings who have never died with a Lif and Lifthrasir playing pivotal roles in those events. The Patrons of Old established the Accords - a treaty setting terms for all future Lifs and Lifthrasirs. Forced to train as Warriors and sacrifice their freedom, they serve under the Guardians, the council of members from all 9 Realms who designate missions so that their powers are shared equally, an agreement that has kept the peace for almost a million years but, as Odin himself revealed, all things come to an end. Nothing spells disaster like the Blazing Spear of Blood, created by Ymir from the root of Yggdrasil connected to Hel, capable of devouring anything with its cursed flames. Stolen by Xerxes the Red King, it has been stored in Ubhal Òir under the Lifs for millions of years, much to the chagrin of the Jotuns who now act as if it never existed. But it isn't forgotten. Someone is desperate to steal it and Comharrachadh Beatha is the perfect opportunity as most of the Guardians are on vacation enjoying the Tournament of Heroes where the Realms best Warriors come together on peaceful terms to battle each other. Treachery runs thick behind the celebrations as evil looks for an opportunity to rule again.
