He laid across the mattress, still drunk and only partly awake. The morning was just starting to peek over the horizon and he could see the mist through the window. a sliver of light traced his skin, making it look pale and ever so slightly translucent. Boris laid next to him, facing the opposite direction. The moment reminded Theo of years ago, the late nights they had spent drinking and throwing away their hesitance for touch.

An alternate ending to the 2014 book "The Goldfinch" if Theodore Decker would've reacted in time and went to the big city together with Boris Pavlikovsky. I started writing this around the end of spring to the start of summer 2022, when my "The Goldfinch" obsession was peaking. By then, I'd only watched the movie once or twice and still hadn't gotten and read the book, so the fan fiction was based on my assumptions and headcanons, and most of the stuff written wasn't accurate to the book or even the movie. I won't be continuing this fanfic since I'm trying to focus on my own creativity and making up my own stories. I just thought it'd be fun to share, maybe for myself to look back on in the future. I apologize for the errors in the writing; my first language isn't English.

The basic cliché of two unlikely people falling in love, and those two people are Boris and Theo! WARNINGS-underage drinking, smoking, cursing, and drug usage. They are like 14/15 in this so NO SMUT :) mostly fluff I guess

After the Goldfinch painting is restored in it's rightful home, another anxiety filled situation comes up. One problem resolved, another arises. Boris visits Theo in his apartment, hoping to get the dynamic duo back together, while also having something to tell his life long friend. This one doesn't have a happy ending.

Boris and Theo meet at high school. When Theo becomes unstable from his mothers death, Boris isnt sure what to do. Theo starts drinking and taking drugs, even so, Boris makes good use of Theo while still managing to return him to normal. TINY BIT OF SMUT BECAUSE LIKE- OMG WHY NOTTT :)

The first time Boris took out the umbrella, Theo had been confused. The last time he put it away, Theo finally felt like he didn't need it anymore.
