Theodosia Jr and Philip were close friends, as little kids. After a feud between their families, the two never spoke. Years later, Philip become a sweet talking ladies man, while Theodosia is engaged to Joseph Alston and very lady like. After a chance meeting, Theodosia tries to change him back to a gentleman. Will it work or will Theodosia's efforts fail?

Marriage. It's a touchy subject. Especially when it comes to John Payne Todd. No one ever gave him a handbook on how to deal with your father and newborn brother suddenly passing away thanks to yellow fever. Dolley Todd, his wonderful mother, Payne had taken care of her for at least a few years on his own now, just starting at the mere age of ten. But suddenly, as the classic 1700's fairytale goes, a man walks into her life. You would think Payne would be ecstatic, no more piles of chores, no more empty space at the dinner table, but he couldn't be anything farther from such. What if this step father would just be a whole step in the wrong direction? What if history ended up repeating itself? Only god knows what lies ahead of him.

"Philip, our father's hate each other. I doubt it would do us much good if we were seen spinning around the ballroom together." A smile played on Philip's lips. "I'd like to test that theory." Theodosia Burr hasn't seen Philip Hamilton since she was 9- though she's heard more than enough about his dad, who's in constant competition with her father. When they meet again at a ball, neither thinks much of it... until he finds her again. And again. And the letters. And the visits. And the slow realization that they're falling for each other. (Technically it's Hamilton fan fiction but I like to think that it can be understood and enjoyed universally)(But also go listen to Hamilton just cause it's amazing.)
