Theodosia Jr and Philip were close friends, as little kids. After a feud between their families, the two never spoke. Years later, Philip become a sweet talking ladies man, while Theodosia is engaged to Joseph Alston and very lady like. After a chance meeting, Theodosia tries to change him back to a gentleman.
