Cressa-la lives in a world of lies, a world intoxicated by the idea of owning even just one strip of paper. One piece is enough they say. That's what they always say. Then they begin to think, if I can get one, how effortlessly can I get another? People no longer learn for the sake of learning. Men and women do their jobs to the bare minimum, only doing what they need to do to get more money. People carve statues and houses and antiques from money to show their wealth, when one tiny bronze coin is all someone needs to stay alive. Even those who are honest are forced to act indifferent to the slaughter of the human race. To feed and clothe children who will no doubt abandon them as soon as they become of age. Yet in the end a strip of paper is just a strip of paper, no matter if it says ten dollars or a hundred dollars.
