"Stay alive." I panted, repeating the same phrase in my head over and over as I willed my legs to run faster, the warm wind pressing against my flushed cheeks. "Stay alive." The male seemed to be taken aback by something as he stared with an odd look at my flickering eyes, but before I could lash out, a deep growl emitted from beside me.
