At the Age of 17, Aviana lost her mother, Leaving her with her stepfather Alaric Saltzman; whom was an occult studies professor along with her mom. Aviana never knew the truth of her mother, or the supernatural things that followed until she met a familiar face in a coffee shop. Her own. Aviana Taylor had met her very own doppelganger that went by the name of Blair. She became very close with Blair until they both came across what Klaus really wanted from the young girl. It took them a short trip to the city of New Orleans, to discover the truth. Aviana was the true doppelganger of Blair, not Katerina. Which meant she was not right for the spell in which released the curse held upon Klaus by his mother Esther. It was then, Aviana made a promise to Niklaus; Elena's life for the return of her mother. Klaus did not keep his promise, so as expected, Aviana began to slowly grow hatred for the hybrid. She grew an alliance with his mother Esther after she arose out of the coffin, and Esther linked Aviana's life with Elena's so she could become an unstoppable hunter. She set out revenge for all vampires, knowing eventually she would kill the right one who turned her mother and in result stole Aviana's mother from her.
