After a strong storm causes a huge wreckage to a boat sailing overseas, a man, William Phillips is left, suddenly stranded on what seems to be a deserted island. Tired out from being dragged along the ocean and pulled towards the island, he tries his best to start a fire to keep warm but gives up, helpless and pitiful. He crawls towards the water, thinking about the life and family he once had. Coming to the dreadful conclusion he may never see his wife or child again, he attempts to drown himself, once again fighting against the hard sea, pushing and shoving him around. Just when he thinks he's finally come to his demise, a light hovers just above his sinking body, reaching out his hand and dragging it towards the surface of the water. He had so much he wanted to say, 'Who are you?' 'Why did you save me?' 'Let me drown!' But it seemed as if the man who saved him could read his mind; he simply put a finger over his mouth and hushed breathily, motioning William to not say anything. William once again passes out from exhaustion, the strange hero carried him into the tree filled enclosure, to his chamber. Who was this man?
