꧁⎝ 𓆩༺✧༻𓆪 ⎠꧂
The year 1965, Tulsa, Oklahoma is split clean down the middle, Socs on one side, Greasers on the other.
Rowan was a greaser.
She just doesn't belong to anyone.
She stays low, keeping to alleyways and empty streets, leaving behind streaks of spray paint on the Soc side of town just to prove she was there. Stars on bricks. Her tag on concrete. Sidewalk surfing under streetlights. Stealing here and there. Anywhere but home.
Because home is where everything went wrong.
Soon, Rowan becomes something she never thought she would be.
A runaway.
Then she meets two greasers hiding from the police after killing a Soc.
Most people would run.
Rowan steps closer.
For a little while, there are moments that almost feel warm. Almost normal. Like maybe she could belong somewhere after all.
But innocence doesn't last long in Tulsa.
And death doesn't care how young you are, or how much you've already been through.
Every star burns out eventually.
Some burn faster than others.
And after everything starts falling apart, only one question remains.
When the flames rise, who will fade first?
