In May of 1965, Tulsa Oklahoma, Ponyboy Curtis is living on the East side of Tulsa with the greasers. He is shy with girls and immediately takes interest on Two-Bit's good looking family friend Carolyn (Chloe Grace Moretz), who comes to Tulsa to stay at Two-Bit's house for three weeks. She immediately feels the same way for Ponyboy as the two of them along with the other greasers are caught in a tragic situation with the dangerous Socs (the Rich kids) from the west side of town.
