The good thing is, Evelyn knows of an ancient way to bring someone back from the dead. This is an AU where Caleb kills Philip in defense and feels immense guilt over his actions. Evelyn suggests they could make a Grimwalker of Philip, which they do, and they end up raising him.

Luz Noceda just went to summer camp. That's it, nothing more, nothing less. She hoped something magical would happen, yet, it didn't. She was stuck in this garbage human world for longer than she had expected. Getting bullied everyday, having new men brought to her house everyday, and being a outsider was just the icing on the cake. She felt like she was going to lose it. What if Luz Noceda never went to the Boiling Isles at 14? What if she instead stayed in the human world and never encountered that mysterious owl until later in her life? We'll figure out soon.
