Imagine a world in which Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi, saves his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, from a fate worse than death. While Anakin is writhing on the burnt rocks of the lava planet of Mustafar, Obi-Wan carries him to safety, searching for medical help on the metropolitan planet of Coruscant. Has Obi-Wan done the right thing by saving Anakin? And what does the evil Emperor Palpatine have to say about his actions? This fic is an AU where Anakin survives the fight he and Obi-Wan had on Mustafar. There have been many tellings of this story and I wanted to write my own take of it. Wanted to write a story taking place during the Clone Wars, before Revenge of the Sith. Soon a book Queen's Hope will be coming out and taking place then so I thought I'd take a try at it. Lots of the background info on the handmaidens is from Queen's Peril and Queen's Shadow. I advise you read them before this story. Padmé is my favorite Star Wars character so it's focused on her. Will include information referenced from the canon Padmé books, the movies and Clone Wars TV show. Considering this story PG13 at least, has some heavy themes and info not for kids. I also tend to write more dialogue then description due to my ADD so you have been warned. Creepy fun fact, I wrote this at the beginning of 2021. Once I already published this story the cover for Queen's Hope came out. They chose the same photo as me. I'm shook. Doubt many other details will align but this makes me so happy.

Tomorrow is May the 4th. (A.K.A. Star Wars Day.) It's a day where I watch all the Stars Wars movies. But this year, on May 3rd, I watched all the major deaths that have occurred in the movies, in the order of each movie's original theatrical release. (That's also the order I'll the watching the whole movies in tomorrow. Yes, I do in fact prefer to watch them in original release order. And I mean no offense to people who watch them in episodic, numerical order.) But the way I'll be presenting the deaths is from how I see them in order of least depressing to most depressing. Now, keep in mind these are all just my personal opinions. Feel free to agree or disagree if you like, but don't be mean about it. BTW, I'm only including deaths that have happened in the seven feature films. No books, video games, Clone Wars or Rebels. I have nothing against all those things, but I feel it'll be easiest for me if I only do movie deaths. Speaking of Clone Wars and Rebels, Darth Maul's death from The Phantom Menace isn't on here, seeing as he came back in Clone Wars and Rebels. Neither will the death of Zam Wessel, the female bounty hunter from Attack of the Clones. This is because my DVD of AOTC always skips at that part, and her death never really had that much of an effect on me. However I will be including Boba Fett's death in Return of the Jedi. I know about the debates concerning this, but I, personally, have yet to be convinced that he actually survived the Sarlacc. All other deaths, though, are fair game. MAJOR SPOILERS! (And not just for The Force Awakens, but all the movies.)

Kora Knight was an outspoken, over-thinker who was well known at the Jedi temple for her bravery and putting others before herself no matter the consequence. When she was young the Jedi masters didn't explain a lot to Kora. Like why she wasn't allowed to start training until she was nine, unlike the other younglings who started at three. Or why she was much more protected than any of the other younglings. What the Jedi didn't tell her was that she had a very confusing back story and that she would become one of the strongest Jedi the order has ever seen.
