She became an independent villain, often causing mischief or just bothering Kingpin for no reason-probably because he hates her, which is for the fact that she refuses to work for him. She's smarter than that. That's when she met one of Kingpin's goons, The Prowler.

When a spider-woman with no universe is sent to a universe without a spider-person...
