This is a three-part short story that occurs after the kids from The Brother and The Pursuit of Happiness have grown up. Marine Delafield and the Cavanaugh twins have returned home from college to have a family dinner and deliver some happy news. How will their families respond when they are confronted with the evidence that their kids are no longer kids?

Happiness is the state of being happy. Happy is feeling or showing pleasure of contentment Fortunate or convenient Too bad that this never happens for me because I, Tori Johnson, live in a world where sadness is my sister and pain is her brother. I may have once thought that the idea of finding happiness was attainable at one point in my life, what a fool I was to ever think that. Happiness doesn't exist, being happy is only as achievable as world peace happening (yeah when hell freezes over), and to always take its place is pain and lonlieness...but I am strong. I do not cower when the jocks think they can bully me. I do not run away and cry when life gets to hard... well not anymore. I do not yearn to have friends to go out with or a family who should love me unconditionally. I do not do none of these of things because I know the truth about happiness... happiness is only for those who truly deserve it. Tori Johnson is your average sassy, classy, sarcastic, witty, and independent young black boy. Plagued with a pain in his heart, Tori has been through many obstacles in his past and there are still many more to come. Tori would love nothing more to get out of the hellhole that is Waterbury High so when the oppertunity arises for him to graduate a month earlier than everyone else, he almost eagerly accepts. What is this task he has to do? Will he have to face new challenges and old foes? Will Tori ever overcome his sadness and pain that he has felt for the last three years? No one knows for sure... but one thing is for certain, no matter how hard he tries to deny it, no matter how melancholy his life is, and no matter how much he tries to put a mask on his feelings, Tori is just like the rest of us. He is just a boy in The Pursuit of Happiness.
