Theradiance Stories

A king returns to his fallen kingdom and reunites with the freed vessel. Together, they are forced to undergo a few challenges at the hands of an angered higher being. As the flames curl, so too do the curtains, drawing away to reveal the weeping void. (REPOST FROM ARCHIVE OF OUR OWN) okay, so this is all an au. This takes place after the radiance is banished, and only two vessels survived, seeing as the radiance infection was the only thing sustaining broken vessel and lost kin. While vessel's don't have voices or mouths, they can transfer their thoughts into echoes that are interpreted as words. They echo through the vessel's horns, the longer/bigger their horns are, the louder their "voice" can get. Vessels express themselves through closing their eye holes and purring. Those left in the abyss have stunted growth. Some of the vessel's are born with the monarch wings while others have to earn them. Ghost acts like a child because they are physically and mentally a child, although they are slightly smarter than an average five year old. Vessels can transfer soul to other vessels of the same genetics, but it's very tedious and tends to put the vessel into a vulnerable state. (more will be revealed in the book)

Hah! Oh look, another story that I'll probably focus a little too hard on ":D This story shall take place in a timeline where the infection was dispelled fairly quickly, which had ended the rapid production of vessels. The two gods had come to an agreement, a treaty in which the two shall rule Hollownest. Ruling together under one kingdom yet remaining in their own palaces. The surviving vessels have been taken under the care of the Pale King and the White Lady, raising them as their own. - You, the reader, work alongside The Radiance as her loyal servant. However you were not forced into such a role, oh no. Preferably, a few moons back your Lorde had proposed that you aid her in her reign. Never before have you been any happier.

-= Dread. That's the most you can manage to feel at the moment as you stare up at the caverns roof, having been laying on the floor afraid to move for quite a bit. This doesn't feel like your normal lucid dream... Your not supposed to be here, are you? =- [ Slightly self-insert like, this story revolves a human having woken up in a completely different world. After her mother's goes missing, Monarch decides to venture to find her traitor of a brother, but that will prove to be much more problematic then she intended, with the infected getting in her way a little too much. Will she be able to find her brother and keep the rest of her family together so they'll be able to wait for their mother to return? Will she try to find her mother? Or will everything she wants to keep get destroyed by the endless years, especially with this new "knight" figure destroying everything to try and destroy everything she knows?
