After a year marking the end of the Rat King's reign, Christmas is coming around once again. The time Mary has been patiently waiting for since she was sent back home. Things aren't the same without N.C. and their friends, and she's determined to see them again this year, even if it's just a dream. But that's not the only person she's excited for... Rebecca, a cousin from her father's side, is coming to see them for the first time. Excitement would be an understatement for how Mary was feeling. Friends and new family for Christmas seemed too good to be true. And perhaps it was. Rumors have been spreading around N.C.'s city; the missing Rat King will be returning to take over the kingdom once and for all, and this time they might not be able to stop it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ATTENTION! An oc will also be present but don't let it discourage you from reading :] I'm also gonna be honest this book has been ongoing since 2019 after I restarted the book, but after logging back in after 4 years it's almost completed! I'm also lazy to make major changes to past chapters I made when I was in like 8th grade, so sorry if there's any cringe parts in the earlier chapters that I missed when making some updates(and the bad writing). Since the Turtles' public showdown with the Shredder (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze) the Ninja Rap craze has been and gone, but their image is out there now and every crank has a story to tell. Even so, the Turtles themselves - Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael - have disappeared from New York. Only the venerable Master Splinter knows why and where. In their absence April O'Neil is keeping tabs on sightings of the Foot Clan, certain it's only a matter of time before they are back up to strength. Meanwhile, in the supposed safety of their disused subway station, Splinter finds himself falling under a malign influence... Something is down there with him. It's high time the Turtles returned. Above ground, April is captured by the Foot - under new leadership and out for revenge. Below, the Turtles are stalked by a formidable new foe - one that can turn even their beloved sensei against them.
