Life eventually becomes unbearable when one gets bullied constantly for her weight and her looks. Of course, that person would be me. The ugly protagonist to this story. Now, instead of believing the lies of my family, I finally snapped and worked at fixing myself. One year later, it all ended perfectly. I seemed to fit the ideals of society and damn, am I glad. I even attracted the one I've been crushing on for years. But with this change and my new experience with love, I'm definitely sure both good and bad will come to me. Okay this may get offensive at sometimes to some friends and large groups of people but this book is heavily opinionated but the reasons are facts so if you are easily offended and don't know me personally, GTFO but most of this is completely true if you think about it. How would you feel if your comfortable life went up in smoke in under 2 years. Anxious nervous, scared, and overwhelmed are just probably the first feelings to come to mind. Good thing that hadn't happened yet, I'm assuming. Sadly, that is not the case for this family. As we read, we will see how Victoria, Ricardo, Jasmine, Alexander, and Elizabeth deal with the new cards they've been dealt. Struggling through friendships, loss of dear loved ones, and the unfairness that's brought upon them without having parents in the world to guide them anymore. How will they walk this new path that they have been pushed through? Will they make it to the end or fall off completely? Who knows, but that's for them to decide.
