Two of the three Fates don't like the ending that has long been written for Dream of the Endless, and endeavour to change that by bringing him in contact with his soulmate. While such a decision saves Morpheus's life, it also changes everything he thought he knew about the natural order of the universe when he discovers that his soulmate is a mortal. after Morpheus is captured a mysterious creature is made and resides in the Dreaming. once he is back the two meet and decide to work together since the creature has no memory of their previous life.
