Imagines of the maze runner characters using they/them pronouns. All will be xreader and using Y/n. The main interests will be Thomas, Newt, Minho and Gally, occasionally Aris and Teresa. They finally did it, they escaped the maze. They thought they was free... And safe. (y/n) thought she could see her family again and be happy with Newt and his family. Boy was she wrong. The Gladers, tragedy written into their names. No one to remember them, for the rest of the world is dead. Janson and WCKD only want their immunities. The world is in distress and its growing worse and worse. Thomas is their best subject, the most promising. Thats what 'they' said. Everyone knows the Gladers. The group of boys and one girl that survived the maze. But, what if there is one more, that no one remembers, cancelled out, kept safe. On one request. What if Thomas had a sister? One hidden from the world, kept away from the Scorch, the Flare, Cranks and the Maze. WCKD protected her, on Thomas only request. But now, what if WCKD's protection isn't good enough?

A combined story from both Maze runner books and Maze runner movie cannon, but more closely based on the movies. Sequel to "WICKED games" and based off the Scorch Trials movie. (Y/N) and the other Gladers escaped the Maze, learned of the organisation WICKED and their hunt for a cure to the Flare, a virus that attacks the brain, turning humans into Zombie-like Cranks. They were rescued by another organisation, headed by A.D. Janson who promises safety in exchange for cooperation. But (Y/N) doesn't trust him, and after a mysterious reference to her mother, she does some investigating on her own.

The fear of the unknown is what drives one to follow what they are told. At least that is how WICKED wants it, they have their whole lives structured and scheduled down to each breath. "You have a greater purpose," they would brainwash them. Yet for a place where Rosie, and her best friend since childhood Newt, is forced into the systematic ways, unexpected and uncontrollable events seem to follow her. Growing up among scientists made her realize everything is a test, everything is controlled, everything is a variable both in WICKED headquarters and the maze. That was until the unforeseen variable, the unexpected problem; Ella. This unprepared for problem is what would separate Rosie from the glade, from Newt. Could her daughter be the key, the unknown variable that becomes a cure? Would Rosie let her become a science experiment, limit her life to lab, or is the cost of freedom worth it? She would find the best life for her daughter...well, that is after she finds Newt. Things just got a whole lot more complicated. Not only does Newt have a new girlfriend and despise Ella, but they have to deal with people like the Cranks that want to tear their heads off and other people like Esme and Liam. They have two weeks in the Scorch to find this 'safe haven' and get a cure for the Flare. It's insane, no pun intended, or so Ella thinks, but if it has to happen then she'll try to make the best of it but it's hard when she keeps having to see someone that she used to love and that used to love her for so long love someone else in addition to dealing with him wanting to rip people's heads off. When Newt is taken by WICKED and dumped (quite literally) in an old government complex in the Scorch, he has to find a way to get back to his friends, who could be just about anywhere. However, in the process, he stumbles upon documents that could reveal everything... (WARNING: has Newtmas moments in it) Also I don't own any of these characters and most of these places. I am not going to lie, I am not the best writer but I do know this to become the best you need to start somewhere and just like me Ester and Aris have to do the same things along with the surviving Group A members how will all of this transpire...
