A re imagining of The Secret History with my own characters and plot twists. Basically we had a project for biology homework to write a short story incorporating DNA into a crime scene and I wrote this, so I thought I'd share it for anyone who wanted to read. I'm truly expecting this to get no reads, it's just a headshot split over 8 chapters. I may consider writing it in more depth when I get more time, but here's a couple thousand word short story for anyone who's interested.

The shop is light, and the clerk was polite, but the look in his eyes told me he was too curious about what happened for me to feel comfortable. The store is filled with tv's filled with people. All of them are talking about me, and I know Rowan will be next. How did our straight A student end up on a road trip resulting in a death? It was snowing on the morning when we finally decided to leave town.

With a hole in the roof and a teacher out of town, Richard has to get saved by dear old Henry for winter break- Same as how the story goes. However, things go a bit differently than expected when going home with Henry. - Although a bit for shipping, this is mostly to just build upon their character dynamic in general! I really loved that The Secret History wasn't really about romance, so don't expect anything overly mushy! Although, it's in character, it is a cannon divergent retelling which starts after Henry saves Richard from being a frozen popsicle

she's a living corpse with one eye unfocused and rolling in the socket, the scar below her bangs puckered and ugly. she's something horrible and lovely and you are sick with want. her hair is damp, dark, makes you think of running your fingers through it, snagging on knots like clotted blood, taking the cigarette from her mouth and dragging on it. the secret history genderbent w fem!richard as the pov character. altho u could probably just read it as hot girls x reader.
