With a hole in the roof and a teacher out of town, Richard has to get saved by dear old Henry for winter break- Same as how the story goes. However, things go a bit differently than expected when going home with Henry. - Although a bit for shipping, this is mostly to just build upon their character dynamic in general! I really loved that The Secret History wasn't really about romance, so don't expect anything overly mushy! Although, it's in character, it is a cannon divergent retelling which starts after Henry saves Richard from being a frozen popsicle

He puts his hand on my shoulder, but it doesn't calm me like it should. The shop is too small, the street is too small, the world is too small, for all the grief charring my insides. A little bookshop in a side street of a side street - right next to a side street. White, cracked paint covers its front and over the entrance lies the sign 'Eccentrics Hall'. Who wants to take a look into this magical place?

A dreamer of old yet beautiful things.

I don't remember much from high school. I found most classes boring aside from history and science. One of my favorite lessons pertained to the sun. My teacher informed us the sun is ten thousand degrees. I tried to picture it but couldn't considering mere hundred degree weather feels like the hottest kind of sweltering. I found comfort in knowing nothing on earth could burn as bright as our neighboring star- until I met the grecophiles that is. They were like planets in a solar system, much larger than earth with an unimaginable gravitation pull. All centered around and shining being who kept them in line. I was intrigued- and into the orbit I fell.
