Shadows of Deception is a romantic suspense story about a young woman named Lena Carter, whose life changes suddenly when she becomes the target of a dangerous killer. One night, after finishing her shift at a diner, Lena notices a strange man watching her. Soon after, he begins to chase her, revealing that she is in serious danger. While trying to escape, she is rescued by a mysterious man named Ryan Blake, who seems to know more about the situation than he admits. Ryan tells Lena that the man chasing her is connected to a series of murders and that she may have unknowingly witnessed something important. As they hide in a safe place, Lena realizes that the danger is bigger than she thought-the killer is not working alone. As the story continues, Lena and Ryan are forced to work together to stay alive. Along the way, trust begins to grow between them, turning into a deeper emotional connection. However, secrets, hidden motives, and constant danger make it hard to know who to trust. In the end, the story combines love, fear, mystery, and survival, showing how two strangers must rely on each other to uncover the truth and stop a deadly threat before it's too late.

Hello, I am Val, I'm a new writer here on Wattpad. This story is completely made up by me, though there are relations to Broadchurch, and it's based on that, but with my own characters and other places and a different story. I hope you like it! This book has description of murder and in parts is probably unsettling to some sensitive readers, though it's not in too much detail. I'm sorry for any mistakes- i.e spelling or grammar, and will try to update often, right now im writing the first few chapters. This story is a about a 14 year old boy who lives in a small neighborhood who has some problems in his life that he has to deal with. Everything was fine for him until he met "The Shadow". Btw this is my first time on this and so ya it's a bit complicated but imma get used to it.
