With the face of a Sinda and the heart of a Silvan, he struggles with the mysteries of his illegitimate past as he strives to fulfil his dream; to become a captain in the king's militia. Son of a Silvan mother he never knew, and an unknown Sindarin father, he finds the family he never had in his childhood friends and fellow warriors. But everything will change one fateful day, when a lieutenant will come to realise who The Silvan really is, a discovery that will lead to the unravelling of the mystery of his own past, one that will forever change the course of history. This is his journey from ignorance to understanding, from fantasy to reality and eventually, to Elven warrior-hood and his own, surprising destiny.

Allow if you will, a humble scribe to chronicle the lives of the warriors of The Company, Captain Legolas' elite patrol, for such courage deserves to be recorded. Even the deceased will be remembered, captured upon parchment in both word and paint along with the living, for are they not still with us? This short story is a spin off of the story The Silvan - the events however, do not happen - this is just a 'what if.' So, please read the untold story of how Idhrenohtar of The Company, met his inevitable end upon the field of battle. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful, but my oh my did this one make me weep like nothing I have ever experienced. Thank you Nimruzir, I am so, so happy I found this tale, it was magnificent. I had expected a stunning final chapter but you surpassed my expectations! It was the most moving chapter. I had tears in my eyes for most of it and even more so when I read the end notes. It has been a privilege to read this work and review it. Legolas journey into the forest and what he found there is a spectacular culmination of your story. You wrote it so tenderly, so beautifully...I will miss reading the Silvan, but I know I can come back and read it again whenever I miss it too much!
