I just got A Hat in Time on switch and I absolutely fell in love with the game and I just had to write a story about it, I just had to. Seriously, this is a good game, I love it too much to hold off on a story about it.

Snatcher was bored and made a deal with Hat Kid. If she cleared that contract, she'd be able to call him BFF without him grumbling. However, this contract wasn't an ordinary one... Causing mischief is a fun thing to do! Messing around, doing whatever the peck you want. There's many prank opportunities in Subcon Forest! But... leaks of the past has been revealed, slowly. This little gremlin isn't just a mischief maker. Perhaps the ruler knows something about it. (P.S: it's just pecking around and being silly and goofy, but I want to add some lore to make it more interesting.)

The first time, Hat Kid figured something had gone a little wrong with the Time Pieces. Then she figured something had gone REALLY wrong with the Time Pieces. Turns out things went really wrong with something else. Now she's reliving her adventure. Forever. Based on the Infinite Loops Project, more info in "Background" chapter.
