Trust is a fragile thing when your world is built on secrets. For Marinette Dupain-Cheng, finding safety in Peter Parker meant revealing the mask of Ladybug. But when Titan falls and the universe turns to ash, Peter is left holding the empty, dark shell of a broken earring. Trapped in the deep void of space with Tony Stark, Peter's own genetic makeup begins a violent, agonizing mutation, fueled by a grief that defies medical science. Left with nothing but a cryptic, quantum-magic journal she left behind, Peter becomes a boy frozen in time-unaging, unbroken, and desperate to tear open the fabric of reality to bring her home.

"A world where your soul is a currency, and every kindness has a price." In a near-future society, the "Moral Rating System" quantifies every human action into a glowing white number above their head. High points are the only ticket out of the smog-choked Lower Districts and into the paradise of the Upper Districts. Soma, a resident of the grey slums, earns his points through quiet, invisible acts of kindness. But in a world dominated by "good deed streamers" who earn thousands by performing for the camera, the definition of virtue begins to blur. When he meets Makabe-a man who helps others without a glance at his own score-Soma's jealousy sets off a chain reaction - and when the system finally breaks, what's left isn't justice. It's silence, and the memory of a stranger's warm hands. A modern dystopian reimagining of Ryunosuke Akutagawa's classic short story, "The Spider's Thread."

The Spider's Thread is Akutagawa's most well-known short story. It is an exquisite allegory about good, evil and redemption. Kandata, the wicked criminal sent to Hell for his sins, is given a chance to save himself, thanks to the Buddha remembering that he had once spared the life of a little spider. But Kandatas fate is sealed for all eternity when he tries to save himself at the expense of others.
