Above all else, Squip's are designed to improve their host's quality of life.

We all know who the SQUIPs are. We all know what they did. And now they're receiving their punishment. Their creators thought it'd be fitting to transform them into senior-year teenagers, and send them to figure out how to re-navigate the world. They weren't that cruel though. They still have one ability from their previous form, which may be a blessing or a curse for them. But it's not that simple. After a couple run-ins with the same guy who's been tormenting them, they begin to realize something isn't right. And either out of an act of justice or an act of jealousy, they decide to take action. But they have one last problem. Two of them may be a little gay for eachother. Well, yes, but actually, no. Jeremy Heere's SQUIP is getting an upgrade, but at the same time, he's not. But luckily, SQUIP's boyfriends Jeremy and Michael are there to help him no matter what happens. Oh, and he's also in a physical body, even though he's not fully human, because he's still a SQUIP. It had been nearly a year since the Squip incident happened, but nothing has been the same since, despite everyone's efforts to try and act normal again. Jeremy has felt guilty over what happened, but it wasn't his fault or was it? And if it was, was it too late to try and make things like they used to be? (a post!squip fic)

Jeremy hated thinking about that, because to be honest? He was as in the dark there as Squip was. He liked to say he would turn hero in those final moments and save everyone, be the White Knight he always dreamed of being, but let's face it. Jeremy was no hero, no Knight. He couldn't even be a good underdog. Jeremy was, and always will be, a selfish loser. He knew it from the moment he took that damn pill. The zombie apocalypse (but not exactly) AU no one asked for :) (Gore warning!)

So, this is a weird one. This is the same storyline of the musical "Be More Chill" with a few exceptions. I changed the gender identity and sexuality of some of the characters, as well as some ethnicities because that is how I envisioned them while listening to the soundtrack. And obviously, Jeremy and Mikey get together in the end because they had way more chemistry and why else would you be here? If this isn't your style, I made the same fanfiction but had the characters stay the same as in canon. (Except for Jeremy and Michael getting together because why else would you be here?) That is the other book in this series. (Boyf Riends, it's on my profile) So, this is really just for fun, enjoy if you want! I also hope that you enjoy how I turned musical numbers into paragraphs. Jeremy Heere is a junior in high school, and all he wants is to survive. After a peer tells him about a pill he can take to help him, Jeremy takes it and it goes downhill from there. Mikey Mell is a junior in high school, and all she wants is to be happy. After Jeremy gets into drugs, Mikey has to decide if she will follow her friend and try to save him from himself, or if she will continue to be stuck in this cycle of terrible that is her life. (This story is also on ao3 under the name "Become More or Less Calm Two Person Pov)

Michael never liked chemistry anyway. Maybe that's the reason why he agreed to skip class with his best friend Jeremy Heere and his girlfriend, Christine Canigula-to avoid the lecture. Said lecture usually went on for hours, going on and on about ionic bonds, isotopes, endothermic and exothermic reactions, and the worst of them all-buoyancy. At any point in time, if you asked him about the horrors of chemistry, he would gladly tell you how terrible it was. And that he would take any chance to miss out on it. But if he had known what was going to happen, he would have never skipped in the first place.
