When she woke up, the place was full of blood, no place was intact, meat and internal organs were everywhere. At that moment, a mechanical voice rang out in front of me, calling itself the system. Trying to manipulate a child like her, convincing her she was a reincarnation. But unfortunately, she knew about the government organization's plan to manipulate the mind after getting information from the system. "How stupid"

Ever since Careen was little, she'd been part of the system. A strict rule follower, and a firm believer in the system. In how things worked. In everything having an explanation, and logic, and everyone being sympathetic in one way. But one day, her friend Kate reveals herself to be rebel, and asks her to choose between the life she knew, and freedom.

This is one of the essays that got me hooked on writing essays. I was exposed to "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God", which is a Very angry piece written by a Puritanical preacher about, basically, how we're all going to the inferno and the Christian God is the only thing stopping us from being there already. I was asked to write my own version of the piece. I was asked to write about a problem that I felt passionate about, to use such an elevated tone, and this was the result. The end result was a little more doctored, and a little less free, so this is my favorite version. The version I Really liked... and I hope you like it too. Perhaps you can relate :).

"In that moment, my hatred of the System grew to an unbearable extent." My name is Angie. I lived in America, nowhere in particular. My parents had left me and my brother on the streets when we were only young. They hated us like the too many people that hate their children. My brother was the older one. He protected me, made sure we had to eat and put up rules that would allow us to survive. We were left out to die, in front of the fangs of older teenagers. But we survived. Somehow, we survived. But mere street gangs weren't our only problem. There was also the System. I had first heard of the organisation when they took away my brother, but I hadn't yet known what pain they would cause. I wish I had known - although it would have made no difference.

While the cannibal goddess ingest the overpowered humans, that power set and burns the pit of the cannibal goddess's stomach refuels her immortality and strength and that power she devoured will spark a new life a weak life because those humans that are drunk with power will be introduced to a life a weak and poor life. They may not have any memory of their past life but the cannibal goddess will remember for she is immortal.

2045. The world was overpopulated. When the black death happened. Millions died. This time it's mutated and come back worse. The System seeks to save humanity. They pick the brightest minds to work in Medical and Science to help research a cure or vaccination. Daniel wants to contribute to society and help save humanity. To do so, he must pass the System. A series of tough gruelling tests to give those who are seventeen a work quadrant. Medical and Science is where you want to be. To research and create a cure. Rations and living conditions are better there. Getting there is another matter. On his quest in helping humanity's survival, will he discover that all is not as it seems. The System seeks to save. Is this the truth or are they hiding something and do they really want to save humanity?

Before closing the door, the tallest of the Keepers pierced his icy eyes into Ernest's and asked him sternly, "You understand why she chose the Recreation System. Correct?" Ernest held his gaze for a moment, then nodded in affirmation. The Keeper nodded back and promptly shut the door. Ernest understood the systems well. The Labour System would work you until you bled, the Service System was for juveniles and minor misdemeanors to complete the mundane, tedious and mind numbing tasks that others did not want to do and the Defense System would make you a Keeper. Every system was corrupt but the Recreation System was the most unpredictable of them all. That being said, Ernest was certain of one thing, the Recreation System was the hardest to get out of alive.
