These characters are my own, I've stayed as close to the source material as possible but as this is a different story, set in a different district, some details will be changed*

The story begins the morning after Becka is taken by the Eyes for murdering her father. As Gilead prepares to make an example of her, Agnes wants to save her best friend from the fate that awaits girls who break its rules. Not only for Becka's sake, but for six-year-old Elizabeth "Lizzie" Grove, Becka's little sister, who wakes up to find her father dead, her sister gone, and no one willing to tell her why. As Agnes pleads with Commander Weston to bring Becka home, she risks everything she has spent her life working toward-her future marriage, her place in this society, and the carefully planned path laid out before her. Because the thought of losing Becka is unbearable, she would do anything to save her. Agnes starts to realize that her best friend is the one person in this world she loves most. And now she's trying to understand what that even means.

In the dystopian era where America has been taken over by Christian extremism we fallow the story of a different woman every chapter. These stories are based off of Margret Atwood's books. "The handmaids tale" and "the testament" and will fallow the laws of her universe. There will be 6 classes of women being mentioned frequently. Handmaids (women ment to bear children for the commanders and their infertile wives. They wear red and a pair of white wings around their head so their faces cant be seen) wives (the women married to the commanders. They are often infertile and they wear blue with no wings) marthas (the lower class women who do the house hold chores cleaning, cooking, everything. They are often wearing greed with no wings). Jezebel's ( women who can not bear children or cook but are considered "visually pleasing" and therefore get to work at clubs made outside the main city limits for the commanders pleasure. Only commanders are allowed outside the city limits.) And finally unwomen. (A woman from any title who has been unwilling to submit. They clean up toxic waste, mine, and are not treated for illnesses.)
