Sloane Barstow and James Murphy battled hard to avoid The Program's cruel ways, but they were eventually and inevitably sucked into the evil Program and wiped clean. Among her friends at The Program, Sloane met Realm. A devilish sweet boy whom Sloane trusted and loved, but in return was betrayed by. While Sloane was putting all her trust in Realm, he was actually helping The Program to erase her. Attempting to make amends, Realm offered Sloane 'The Treatment'- a pill designed to bring back the removed memories. Realm gives the only pill of The Treatment left in existence to Sloane, however, in the end, The Treatment was taken by James. Unfortunately, the creator of The Treatment, Evelyn, kills herself to protect her mind; but not before giving a powerful interview that in the end, shuts The Program down. Now, everyone's lives have seemly gone back to normal and the government has decided to create, The Cure. A new program of which patients can chose to be fed back their memories.
