The First Tweet I shouldn't have clicked. But curiosity is a slow poison-one drop, then another, until your veins are flooded with questions you can't unask. The screen glowed in the dark, casting jagged shadows across my face. His ex-wife's Twitter profile stared back at me, frozen in time like a museum of their love. A grainy photo from eleven years ago: John Smith, younger, softer, holding a cup of espresso beside her milkshake. The caption read: Espresso Milkshake. My chest tightened. This was the man I was going to marry. And this was the life he'd already lived without me.

Rose Corbin isn't an out-of-the-ordinary girl. She never was. She was just a normal girl who likes normal things. Well, at least that's what she thinks... The kids around her think she's an annoying, self-entitled brat who only cares for herself. The only kid who knows her the best is her best (and only) friend, Jessica Thorn.
