Dear Reader, If you are interested in a happy story about a noble volunteer escaping from his captors and finally sending a notorious Count to prison, then I'm afraid you have made a wrong turn and will need to go back as soon as possible to avoid any further inconvenience. With my newly uncovered research, I have managed to piece together a new section of the Baudelaire case--though it doesn't have anything to do with the three children themselves, it has everything to do with the man who cast an enormous, fire-starting shadow over their lives, and the unfortunate capture of a prestigious volunteer. This takes place in the middle of book the seventh, The Vile Village. If I were you, however, I would avoid reading that book, and the books before it, and the books after it, effectively saving myself from thirteen volumes of utter despair. Klaus Baudelaire x Reader (Has some light swearing and a little violence, but is mostly child friendly) ~~~~~~~~~ Here's the gist of it: Your name is Y/n Caliban, and you're the daughter of Olivia Caliban. The Baudelaires were your close friends for a while, but then you moved away and you guys drifted apart. They show up at the school you attend a few years later, and you quickly become friends again. Long story short, you get involved with V.F.D. and go on adventures with the Baudelaires while trying to hide the way you maybe-sorta-really like Klaus because you're afraid it will ruin your friendship with him. ~~~~~~~~~~ This starts in in The Austere Academy, and may go on for a few books/episodes after that, but probably won't be too long of a book. It might have some fluff here and there (mostly Dunclet and Jalivia fluff), but it's a semi-slow burn between you and Klaus. It's based more on the show than the books. •Not discontinued anymore! Yay!• Updates may be a little slow, and I don't have any sort of schedule for updating, so please be patient with me :)

I wrote this story in February and couldn't decide if I should post it or not so please don't leave hate. There is a lot of snickiban as well as a little kladora and quiglet. this story is basically what i wanted to happen in the Vile Village.

What if Olivia Caliban had decided that she could wait just one more minute to go after the sugar bowl? After all, Olaf and Esme weren't going anywhere yet. If she had stayed behind to save Jacques and jail the Count, his girlfriend, and his henchpeople, her mission would have been accomplished just as well- no better- as it would have been if she had left. Maybe fate doesn't always have to split us up. Note: many of the details of this fanfiction are drawn from the Netflix series. I am sorry if you would prefer them to be from the books, but the series is freshest in my mind (plus Olivia and Jacques are cute). A Series of Unfortunate Events belongs to Lemony Snicket/Daniel Handler.
