Before the time of King Henry 8th and Queen Elizabeth 1st, times were much simpler back then. In the year of 1455, the biggest war in history raged through England and would be known as the War of the Roses. This was also a strained period of one particular young girl's life, which would change her world as she knew it. Her name was Lady Rosalie Catherine Howard, the daughter of Thomas Howard, the Duke of Norfolk. During the war, Thomas had sided with the Yorks and helped their side win the throne of England. As a result, he promised his only daughter's hand in marriage to the eldest York brother, who would now be King of England, Edward IV. Little did anyone know, these two star-crossed lovers were meant to be together and they would be the ones to bring peace, joy, happiness, harmony, and prosperity to England for years to come.

Lady Kathryn, better known as Katy, lived a simple life in Ireland. That is until her father was accused of treason, and she left home to plead for his life. Katy soon finds herself in the midsts of a looming civil war, away from the safety of her family, and a pawn to the ruling power. Katy is forced to navigate a world where family turn on one another as the Houses of York and Lancaster fight for the throne. Author's note: While many of the characters are real people, creative liberties have been taken including respective ages of characters and historical accuracy of events. Katy is my own original character and is based on no particular woman of the time.

She had to navigate through the courtly life and fight tooth and nail for herself and her people.

Edward the Iv marries his brother Richard Duke of Gloucester to Eleanor Percy daughter of the Earl of Northumberland in 1465 but when tragedy strikes and Elizabeth Woodville dies in 1469 giving birth to the healthy Cecily of York he mourns and falls deep into depression. But upon Warwick and George's rebellion he has a plan in the works involving marrying his wife young former lady Anne Neville to produce an heir and curb Warwick's power.

When she finds this out, she immediately knows she needs to help them. To free everyone from the rein of Iracebeth. But, of course, before doing so, she needs to get close to the enemy first. Both of them find out that the event is an engagement party for Alice and Hamish, much to Benjamin's secret dismay. When Hamish proposes to Alice, she and the Vacher siblings left the party to follow a white rabbit in a waistcoat to a rabbit hole. Once they accidentally fall down the hole, they enter Underland, which Benjamin remembers while Alice does not. Even Sophia is fascinated with the world and its residents. The trio learn that Alice is destined to slay the Jabberwocky of the Red Queen, but she cannot do it and believes she is dreaming. Along the way, they meet the Mad Hatter, who becomes attracted by Sophia's unique personality. Will the trio of friends help save Underland from the Red Queen? Can Benjamin admit his feelings to Alice despite selflessly putting them aside for her happiness? And regardless of coming to Underland for the first time, what will happen when Sophia finds herself growing closer to the Mad Hatter?
