However, his worst foe is the darkness that settles within him, uncontested and thirsty for control. It threatens to consume him, to pour out in uncontrolled fury as an empty past continues to haunt him. His sole anchor to the mortal world is Shimmer, a gifted magician who tames the other-worldly champion like a prized stallion. Without her, he will succumb to the evil voice that would make him spiral into turmoil along with everything else. Even with a guiding light, the Champion is still lured by eternal darkness, where he will be lost forever with nothing to save him. Desolation will be his only company.
