...my first poetry book... "I have never started a poem whose end I knew. Writing a poem is discovering." - Robert Frost . Thoughts flow out, written down in words, forming some poetry. -me . This is the first book to the Iridescent: A Poetry collection. I have been writing poetry since I was 11 years old and this book contains poems from the very first one I ever wrote to the present. It contains poems about the feeling of love and heartbreak due to the actions of my friends, significant others and family. It shows my development in Poetry and my self development. How I have gotten out of a bad phase by the end of the book. Every poem I write is so that others can relate to it and it can help them like they helped me. Every poem either begins or ends with a small paragraph that helps the reader understand the poem better, intensify feeling or they are just tips to help people. Please don't copy them in any form without permission. "SITNL was one of the most realistic and heartfelt stories that i've seen in a while. It told a story of two teenagers who through love were not only able to learn from each other and always be there for one another through thick and thin but also accepted one another not for their past, futures or wealth but rather for who they were as people. Something that captivated me and made me truly love and appreciate this story." @awinterlights 1st place romance category- Adore You Awards Runner Up romance category- The Spring Awards ------------------------ Rhea Sommes has never had it easy; a mother who died before Rhea was even in high school, a father who can't get himself together, and no one to turn to. When classmates Jordan and Dominic starts to show interest, will her plans all go out the window? Jordan Mars wishes he could disregard his family, old money snobs who buy their way to the top and out of trouble. He would rather defend the little guy and fight for what he believes in, no matter how much money his daddy throws his way. When he gets up the courage to approach Rhea, and possibly help her in a tough situation, he'll have to come to terms with who he is and what he does to her. Will he be able to protect her, or will he only cause her more pain? --------------------------- This story contains harsh language, scenes containing suicide and self harm, scenes containing violence, scenes containing sexual actions as well as sexual violence, alcoholism, and abuse (physical and verbal).
