Working on an X-File, the two partners find a bit more ease in their "friendship"

This is actually my first fanfiction about the X-Files. I know I've posted a few, but this was the first one I wrote. I decided to share it because why not, but I wasn't familiar with writing the characters and it might not be great. This is a little short story about Scully and how she wanted to adopt Emily, who was actually her biological daughter. There isn't really a story to this fanfiction, I wrote it to begin to sketch out Mulder and Scully, their dynamic and their individual characters/personalities so I could get it more accurate in later stories. Enjoy!

Three murders in London, England, and reports that a previously undiscovered animal is behind them. FBI Agent Fox Mulder and his new partner, Dana Scully, take a trip across the Atlantic to investigate. This short story X-File occurred in the early days when Dana Scully joined Fox Mulder in the FBI basement. It is the early 1990s. There are no mobile phones and little internet. This story is a traditional thriller-monster X-File investigation. The words are my own. All characters are my own except Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, which I am forever grateful that Chris Carter created. I use them here in the spirit of fan fiction, but if the legal owner of these characters wishes, I will amend the story accordingly. Thank you for reading my first attempt at writing for others. The x-files are shut down. Mulder and Scully can't work together. Eventually they both gave up hope and moved on with their lives in separate departments, with the occasional smile in hallways. Until a series of unexplainable events occurred forcing the x-files to start up again. Where will this leave Mulder and Scully?

"I know what's going on." "What? What's going on?" Scully asked, confused and slightly horrified. Mulder just stared at her, contemplating. "We're stuck in a sort of loop." he finally said. "What?" "You know, a loop, like a time loop. We keep going through this day over and over like we're on repeat." "Mulder, you mean to tell me that we've been through this before? That this has all happened multiple times already?" Scully asked, skeptical as always. Mulder nodded. "Uh-huh."

So I have seen a LOT of terrible fanfiction around on the internet, and a lot of good stuff as well! Here are some tips and pointers on how to write good fanfiction.

High School MSR AU in which Scully is surprisingly more reckless than Mulder and despite their differences at first, they both realize that their chances of meeting are one in five billion, approximately.

Fox Mulder is the most popular boy in school, and Dana Scully had a crush on him. She though they would never be anything, but as one thing leads to another maybe they'll see more in each other then they though.

You're the new intern at the F.B.I. and were sent to work in the basement on a set of specific cases called the X files.
