Something aboard the USS Enterprise begins to change. Thoughts come a moment too soon. Movements grow unnaturally precise. Decisions arrive before they are made. As uncertainty disappears, order takes its place-and most of the crew see no reason to resist. Dr. McCoy does. While he challenges Kirk with a level of honesty few would dare, their long-trusted bond is tested and revealed in equal measure. Elsewhere, as the ship settles into unnatural silence, the connection between Spock and Commander Lancaster grows sharper, clearer, and increasingly dangerous. Because perfection does not adapt. And sometimes, only something irrational can set life in motion again.

The USS Enterprise answers a distress call from the Alachay-a civilization so advanced that illness should no longer exist. But something has begun to spread through systems once thought flawless. As McCoy races to understand the impossible, and Uhura finds meaning itself growing unstable, Kirk finds his oldest friendship tested by growing fear, while Spock and Commander Lancaster struggle to maintain control over a connection neither can fully master. DBH one shots, they're mainly for the comfort of the reader, gender neutral and dealing with some sensitive topics. I will always put warnings at the beginning of a chapter :)<3 you can request characters and ideas :D

Lancaster comes from that absence. If you've ever searched for someone who simply exists as themselves, I hope this story offers a little of that.

short story n°1 things happen, feelings exist. all the happiness they had for each other,m they get to share it finally, with the biggest feeling of familiarity. nonbinary×girl/fem person use your imagination for how the characters look, they can be whoever you want them to be.

She was doing her best. She kept up a strong front for as long as she could, but in her dream, a dark, greasy surroundings she is at right now, listening to his slow, regular breathing, and his pity state. She curls up facing the wall and lets the tears be absorbed into the textured fabric of the blanket. Breathing is the hard part to control. She doesn't want to sob, doesn't want to bother his sleeping figure. Heck as if he could see her. So she huddles into the blanket and keep as quiet as possibly she can. Seeing him in that state makes her want to hug him and tell him he's gonna get rescued, everything's gonna be okay, she can't quite contain one small hiccuping whimper. Then one more. There's a light touch on her shoulder, she tenses as she whipped her head back to him as he carefully sits down beside her. "Can..can you see me?" Her tone was soft and broken. The boy nods, his unkempt hair and dirty clothes, his dark bags under his eyes especially he grew skinny. She gives in, letting all her fear and misery take control. Her pride still won't make too much noise, but she buries her face at his shoulder, hugging him tightly as pools of tears drops continuously on her exhausted eyes. He rubs her back for comfort, letting a words slips in his mouth. "Stay strong for me, Y/N. Hurry and find me." Started : 11/30/22
