The King of Thieves, Bakura, wants the entirety of the royal family to pay for the events that occurred in Kul Elna and wants the throne for himself. When he discovers the existence of Aya, he plans to start with her. But plans, as well as feelings, often change.

Haven't you ever wondered what turned Bakura into such a cruel, sadistic being? Haven't you ever wondered why he hates love and friendship? We all know what happened in Ancient Egypt that fateful night that sparked his hatred; but what if there was something more? This is the story of a young Thief Bakura as he struggles to survive without family, friends, love, or kindness. How he struggles to survive alone.

The end is coming. Soon Yami Bakura will have his revenge,one that comes with a price. Now with revenge so close,is he actually willing to pay the price? A rare decision he speaks to Ryou, his landlord, in the mortal's soul room, and now he realises that he might have to make the ultimate sacrifice. Avenge those he lost so long ago? Or save all of those that are alive now?

Yugi never expected to see him on his doorstep, much less to learn that he had come back in his own body and was being given a second chance at life. What he really wanted to know is, why was he even on his doorstep to begin with?

This is a short story that I was required to write for English class and I ended up getting a pretty good grade on it, so I'm going to share it on here. It ended up being a Yu-Gi-Oh one shot (because I like Yugioh, that's why). It's with Pharaoh Atem and Thief King Bakura. I hope you enjoy!

Before the real battles began, Malik and the thief spirit have some time alone, though later on the thief speaks to Ryou about everything that will soon transpire, while Ryou voices his own fears in regards to his friend.
