The thing is, even though you have to live it to see it, the government is really corrupt. There are some places that are luxurious and incredible, but there are also slums. 20% of the galaxy are great places humankind live safely and 80% of them are slums, where people who wouldn't "collaborate" would be thrown away there and be forced to work. So basically Space Jump! is a thief group to stop the governments corruption, they would steal from the government and plan to stop them.
