After quickly assessing the situation, I pulled my dagger from my belt and made my way towards him. He backed away in fear, eyeing the sharp blade. He continued until he hit the wall. I stared at him for a moment before sheathing the knife. He relaxed slightly. "Thank the sun," he exhaled in relief. "For a moment there I thought you were gonna-" I abruptly punched him in the side of the head, knocking him out.

Having parents who often fight, argue and never seem to be bothered by the fact that their child is suffering, Alice have had enough. Short Story originally written for a creative writing assignment, but decided to share it with others!
