Clarissa is a vampire, born thousands of years ago. She hates what the modern world is becoming; she finds no more enjoyment in human life any more. However, what happens when she goes hunting one night and come across the most desirable smelling blood she has ever come across? The memory you go back to remember someone you used to know. In a remote small mountain town a group of high school students go on an excruciating hike. The trip reveals more than a destination in idyllic setting. Like a simple cup of tea the story holds subtle truths hidden in plane sight. The truth dissolves in the rain drops only to shine like mountain dew at a later time.

I thought I was just sick... but now I can't stop drinking. It started with a homeless man on the street. Now everything's changed. Water tastes like poison now. My dreams are drowning me in red swamps full of writhing creatures. The thirst is growing. And I don't know how much longer I can bear.

Never, ever get involved in a relationship with a human except friendship. Those were all important rules to be followed. If broken, all you could do was beg for the High Council to forgive and forget, make them see it your way or be dead. Almost every one of us has broken rules number one and two, nobody really cares because the High Council understands our thirsts, it is what makes us the monsters we are. What are we?
