This novel explores themes of timing, choice, and the courage required to build a life that reflects your truest values rather than external expectations. Hayden and Emilia's story reminds us that the most meaningful connections often come when we're brave enough to be authentic, honest about what we want, and willing to prioritize love over convention.

Sometimes, the best way to move forward is to take a step back. Jessica was a city girl, but not anymore. She's back in town, living the life she never thought she wanted. She has her own house, a best friend, a confidante, and an intrinsically satisfying job. It's a simple, stable, and independent life. But the question on everyone's minds, including hers at times, is why did she come back? **Some of the characters in this story first appeared in The Sun, The Moon, and Their Stars and its sequel Their Days of Nights.** © 2020-2022 @kathnappy This is a work of fiction. The characters and scenes in this story either are the product of the author's creative imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual events and persons, living or otherwise, is coincidental and unintentional.

this story is simply a retelling of my first story, tsou: his destiny. i was earlier writing another draft but i guess i just no longer feel attached to it or feel like continuing it. i'm not sure if i'll ever complete this particular draft either because life happens, and like everyone else, i'm trying to make a place for myself in this big scary world. if you choose to read this, please be patient because i might not regularly update it or leave it incomplete for months; despite this, if you still choose to read it, thank you and hope this story helps you feel better.

After moving into a dilapidated apartment mysteriously furnished with a stuffed elephant, the man quickly trades his rural upbringing for the flighty world of urban nightlife. Little does he know, judging and watchful stares aren't just found in the sparkling ballrooms at midnight-they're also found right at home, through the eyes of the elephant in the room.

In 1931, Vera Manse was separated from her sister after the last economic hope for her family had slipped from her mother's fingers. While her sister Arelle was able to live with their lively Aunt Pearl, Vera was sent to live with an old woman, but that didn't go as well as her parents thought it would. Soon orphaned and alone, Vera has to find her away around the streets, surviving off of thieving and evading capture from criminals. Seven years later, she's able to go home to her aunt and sister. Yet, after unexpected events send them on a cross-country road trip where things never go as planned, it becomes more and more difficult for Vera to hide old scars. Not to mention dealing with enemies and ghosts from the past that seem to want to hitch a ride. I'll be adding a part every Friday, so keep an eye out :) -Nova

Writer's Block "It's the most rough, depressing, irritating feeling I've ever experienced but I also feel excited because then I know a breakthrough is coming very soon. Scenes begin to play in my head...yes they are scattered but that's the beauty of my writing process it's a puzzle - I love puzzles- and I get to put the pieces together. The edges are already glued in place all I have to do is fill it in!" _______________________________________ What can I say "about" this blog. It may enlighten but it may also confuse or bore you. It depends on YOU as a reader and the subject I pick at hand. I am not trying to teach anything whatsoever! I don't care to teach. I just like to share common ideas, themes, intellects, and so on. At times, yes, this may seem like a random blog and it very well may be. However, I will rein in the subjects I touch on. And it may start off slow in the beginning but...bear with me...if you please. As you can see the name of this blog is basically the "About" that you need to know. Focusing on The Written Word, such as, books, plays, quotes, other blog posts, etc. and also The Spoken Word, such as, movies, TV shows, videos, etc. At times, yes, it may seem as if I've turned into a film or literature critic but I assure you It's only temporary. So enjoy, hate, love, or wonder about The Written and Spoken Word.

I was bored one day, and wrote this. Sort of a take of Twelfth Night and The Women in a way. There's Mary, the spunky writer girl. Olivia, the prim and forgiving lover. Lucy, rough on the outside and yearning for an education. Amy, the small town girl vying to be an actress. And Claire, the ne'er-do-well party girl. How does life bind them, and what are their faults?
