He was always at their house when he was younger and still even now that he is older. Everything was always real smooth in the Curtis's home until one day their parents got into a horrible car wreck and passed away. It all hit Darry at once that now he was both the mother and father figure to his younger brothers Ponyboy and Sodapop. Sadly Darry had no one to turn to except alcohol..
