Cassidy 'Cassie' Baker is a 14 soon to be 15 year old teenager attending McFarland high school. Born in Hollywood, she moved across California when she ten. Over the five years of her life in McFarland she found ways to pass the days reading, writing and drawing but loves to get out side and walk or go on a run or two. She was the only all white girl in the entire school for five years and was shocked to run into Julie White, the daughter of the cross country teams coach. This is the story of her helping Julie find the good in their life in McFarland and Julie helping her feel like a teenager again, and how the team, and one specific person, brings light back to her life. So I'm probably going to be horrible at this but this is my first book and I was going to write it about the story McFarland and I am doing this book based off the movie. There might be some errors and stuff with a lot of the Spanish words but bare with me I will try my best to spell it right! This is going to be based on Thomas Valles point of view. I hope yall enjoy!

Thomas Valles is just a normal teenager at McFarland high school. He's always getting to fights over his sister who is pregnant.Then one day while running late to class with a group of friends, one of them,knocks the books out of Julie White, the New Cross Country coach's daughter. That's when everything changed for not only Thomas, but Julie as well. Follow Thomas and Julie as they run the track of love and see what where it takes them.

Athena Sanders is deaf and new to McFarland, where not many understand ASL. It doesn't help that she has vitiligo, a skin condition that causes her usually dark skin have white patches. She's been judged her entire life because of it. Athena doesn't make many friends and doesn't talk to many people. She mostly keeps to herself and stays in the shadows. Until she runs into Victor Puentes. Victor is a ladies man. He flirts with all the girls and bounces from girl to girl. Until he runs into Athena. She's the one girl that changes his mind and he wants to date her. Badly. Only he doesn't know how to speak ASL and couldn't really talk to her. Athena and Victor go through life at McFarland High together. They go through troubles with each other. Victor is one of Athena's only friends and eventual partner and Athena soon becomes glad she moved to McFarland.

A short spinoff of McFarland USA. A tale of Thomas and Julie intertwined. Gives off the forbidden romance vibes All rights reserved to McFarland USADisney for characters and some quotes.

||I own nothing except for Remy White and her backstory|| Remy White was a cross country champion, it was plain and simple. She had broken many records set previously by the boys in her old school. As a young freshman, she beat out five juniors and two seniors for their record. As a sophomore, she beat more of them, breaking three more records. As a junior, the trophy case was filled with cross country trophies with her name on them. It all changed when her father was fired and their family moved to McFarland, a small and poor town that in the words of their own residents "No one ever stays in, unless they have to" and she helps her Dad create their Cross Country team. That is, until she has to join it.

I doubt this book will get many reads considering the movie came out 4 years ago but ive only found about 10 fanfics for it so I suppose its never too late to throw a hat in the ring includes: oneshots or possibly multi-part stories, preferences, and things under that umbrella ©svftreddie started:10/2/19 ended:./././

Julie White has moved to small town McFarland with her family. At first, it is just a temporary place to live until she graduates high school and can go and do whatever she wants. But then it becomes so much more. Her team becomes her family and she falls for the boy who has become one of her best friends. Suddenly, McFarland begins to feel a lot like home.

Athena Sanders left McFarland for college, leaving everyone she knew behind. She stayed in contact with everyone, as she still loved them all. She wrote Victor every chance she could get. Athena returns to McFarland after college and visits everyone she knew in high school. All the memories of her time came back and she enjoys every minute of being there. She gets her dream job and loves every minute of it. Athena wouldn't trade her new life for another. She has the old cross country team by her side and Victor in her heart.
