1784, Angelica is struggling with the boredom of her expectational life as a wife of a wealthy man in Paris. That is until she is enchanted by a too familiar American by the name of Thomas Jefferson, who in this Paris fling, shapes both Angelica's life and some parts of America's future.

Thomas Jefferson and Angelica Schuyler just so happen to meet in Paris at a ball. Thomas is immediately interested in the bright young woman, and Angelica, of course, will never admit any feelings are there. Even though they must part at the end of the night, their story will continue far beyond. Follow this not-quite-enemies-to-lovers-but-basically tale of wonder and woe. (Can this get anymore cliche?) You know, someone to share that special happiness with. Lucky for her, that someone walks through the classroom doors and she knows he's 'the one' by just one glance.
